The Asociación Colombiana de Mujeres en Aeroespacial (ACMA), in English the Colombian Association of Women in Aerospace, is a Non-Profit Entity dedicated to promoting the participation, development and leadership of women in the aerospace field. We join efforts to inspire future generations and highlight the importance of diversity in the sector.

Our Mission

The mission of the Asociación Colombiana de Mujeres en Aeroespacial (ACMA) is to inspire, empower and propel girls and women in the aerospace field, promoting their inclusion at all levels of training and professional practice, through the creation of a diverse constellation, the promotion of educational and research opportunities, and the strengthening of their presence in academia, industry and society.

These are some of the projects we have carried out, with concrete results and verifiable partners.

Propulsando Sueños - Analog Mission

8 Colombian women awarded for a 2-week mission in the HAdEES-C analog habitat (Tocancipá), together with Fundación Con Cora and Fundación Cydonia. In 2022 we had already had a 6-woman ACMA crew in this same habitat.

Flight Experience Scholarships

3 scholarships awarded to experience theory, simulator and real flight in Medellín at the Academia Antioqueña de Aviación.

CCCD 2026 Scholarships and Mentorships

Together with MoonDAO, we sponsor 2 teams (Beginner and University categories) in the Colombian Sport Rocketry Contest and support the participating teams.

Art Rocket II

As part of a Fundación UNITY program, we ran 4 workshops in Medellín and Bogotá (with Funicancer, Hospital Infantil Concejo de Medellín, Make-A-Wish Colombia and Fundación Dharma) whose artwork joined an international collage that traveled to space aboard a Soyuz rocket.

Aerospace Talents Conference Series

Together with CACOM 5 of the Colombian Air Force, we published 7 episodes featuring experts from the Air Force, NASA, and the Colombian and international aerospace industry.

Mentorship Program

We connect mentors and mentees 1-on-1 in the aerospace sector.
