What is CCCD 2026?

The CCCD is Colombia’s national sport rocketry competition, organized by SateLab (ALAS) under Tripoli Prefecture 181, with technical and safety support from the FAC (Colombian Air Force) and Civil Aeronautics. Teams design, build, and launch solid-propellant rockets under engineering and operational safety criteria.

Which category does your team compete in?

Beginners — for school teams

In high school and want to launch your first rocket? This category is for you.

  • Students from 6th to 12th grade, from public or private institutions
  • No prior rocketry experience required
  • Teams of 6 students + 1 tutor
  • Official motor for the category: type D

University — for university teams

For those already in college who want to take rocketry to the next level.

  • Students from any university institution
  • No prior experience required
  • Teams of 7 members
  • High-performance motors: types G / H
  • Category aligned with international Tripoli standards

Does your team meet these requirements?

For ACMA to be able to support you, the team must meet the following:

  • Be made up exclusively of women
  • All members must be ACMA members
  • All members must belong to the same institution
  • Be enrolled during the competition period
  • Be available to participate in the full program: bootcamp, follow-up, and final event
  • For school teams: have authorization from parents or guardians
  • Registration deadline: July 31, 2026

Here’s how the process works once you submit your application:

  1. The ACMA team reviews all applications received
  2. Selected teams are notified by email

Available spots: up to 2 teams, one per category (Beginner and University).

What exactly does the sponsorship cover?

ACMA covers the CCCD registration costs and a limited budget for essential project materials. However, available resources may not be sufficient to cover the full costs associated with participation, including additional materials, transportation, lodging, meals, per diems, or other unforeseen costs.

Selected teams must be able to independently assume or manage costs that exceed the coverage confirmed by ACMA. The exact amount of support will be communicated at the time of notification.
